This past Friday, 24 of our students traveled to California Crosspoint Academy to compete in the local level of ACSI's Math Olympics. Armed with pencils and a good dose of trepidation and courage, students competed by grade through a series of timed tests focused on the areas of Arithmetic Computation and Mathematical Reasoning. 1st-5th place ribbons were awarded in each category to students who got at least 50% of the test questions correct, and medals were awarded to ribbon winners who got at least 80% of the test questions correct. Of our 24 participants, 17 took home ribbons and 3 took home medals. These 17 students officially qualify for the Divisional Math Olympics to take place April 17-19. Well done, Donum Dei Math Olympians!
